Hi, my name is Sandra Black and I am  the owner of Strong Beginnings Child Care, a licensed Family Child Care Home in Fountain, Colorado.
I was born in Germany, but moved to the U.S. in 1995.  My two children, one who is autistic and one with ADHD,  are the reason I started my career as an Early Childhood Educator in 2014.  Becoming a child care provider afforded me the opportunity to support my family financially while not missing out on my own children's important milestones.  Being the mom of neurodivergent children has also given me more insight on the importance of Early Intervention Services and educating parents about resources available to them.

My passion is helping my peers and families in whatever capacity I can. I hope to be an asset for Fountain Valley CARES and our community through support and adadvocacy on a local and State level for years to come.

In my free time I like to spend time with my children and pets which include, 1 dog, 1 snake, 2 cats, 4 rats and about 1 dozen fish.  I also enjoy listening to Audiobooks and True Crime Podcasts.
